We are an Australian Fashion and production house that prides itself on design and quality. We are looking for an astute and experienced Garment Technician to join the busy team at our Surry Hills head office.

Our business is growing rapidly, and we require a hardworking individual with a solid understanding of garment construction and pattern making to support our design and production team.

You will be working closely with the production design teams, and external clients to ensure accurate translation of design into quality end product.

Key duties include but are not limited to;

Conduct fit sessions, offer fit suggestions, prepare comments relevant to fit, construction, measurement and alterations
Ensure all comments and necessary adjustments are communicated clearly to suppliers to ensure a high quality product is achieved for bulk
Process samples against specification and approve pre production samples
Input measurements and findings onto Excel sheets and maintain relevant style files
Work closely with the Design, Production team and design team to ensure accurate translation of design into quality end product
Help maintain all working documents
Check SMS samples, PP and shipping samples against Tech packs, details and communicate clearly to factories, and colleagues
Liaise with external customers to communicate to them the recommendations on the all fit comments and design changes.
Fundamental to the role are:

ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure
ability to meet critical path deadlines
excellent communication skills
Must be proficient in MS Excel
We are located in the heart of Surry Hills near Central Station, offer a clothing allowance, a new modern office with a great team.

To be successful, you will have an energetic nature, a strong work ethic, and have a minimum of 4 years experience in the fashion retail industry.
