Position Description
Position Title: Graphic Designer
Location: Sydney CBD
Job Summary:
• The company’s aim is to promote the exchange of culture, also contribute to the prosperity of a multicultural society. Therefore, the graphic designer should be familiar with classical music, have a mindset to introduce classic music & art to Australian audiences, and understand event promotion and production.
• The Graphic Designer will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing all creative material, also providing advice and design concepts for event and exhibitions.
• The Graphic Designer will work in conjunction with the Marketing team to support a complete design across all marketing/communications channels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design and engaging marketing and sales materials including (but not limited to): Website graphics, info graphics, flip books, video content, brochures,flyers, posters, social media templates, stationary (email signatures) and so on.
• Liaise with numerous internal and external departments via email, phone or face to face, to discuss design / publication requirements through to development.
• Ensure a high standard of printing and reproduction in completed work.
• Design digital and traditional adverting creative.
• Manage Special projects’ design requirements as needed.
• Review final layouts and suggest improvement if required.
Requirements:
• Strong graphic and digital design skills are required, with excellent visual design skills (Layout, typography, styling)
• An understanding of strategic branding and design which supports brand awareness and lead-generation.
• Basic Video creation and editing skills are required.
• Proven experience in the conceptualization and implementation of innovative design solutions for exhibitions, displays and activities.
• Ability to develop and communicate production secludes and to work to and meet deadlines while maintaining the quality of work produced.
• Strong organizational skills and applied understanding of graphic design project management.
• Up to date with innovations in graphic design and publishing/printing technology.
• Ability to thoughtfully incorporate Chinese art and creative concepts into designs.
• A portfolio of your most relevant creative work will be required at interview.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin including demonstrate written proficiency.
• Ability to write good, clear copy in a variety of styles with accurate spelling and grammar.
• Be familiar with both Chinese and Western Culture.
• Knowledge of traditional and online marketing tools.
• Understanding of social media.
• Professional experience is preferred.
