We are seeking TWO motivated, presentable and responsible law clerks, assisting our solicitors and licensed conveyancers in matters in property law, commercial law, family law, immigration, etc. This opportunity will be particularly ideal for law students who would like to develop professional knowledge and skills in legal practice.
The successful candidate will receive genuine mentoring and tuition during the time with us under the direct supervision of our solicitors, and also work closely with other peers.
The successful candidate will be exposed to a range of tasks in and out of the office. You will be responsible for:
1) conducting researches,
2) drafting documents and letters,
3) managing files,
4) liaising with clients, and
5) assisting in general office duties.
To be successful in securing this role, the candidate should possess the following skills:
1) Strong academics, drafting skills, time management, and attention to detail and time limits
2) Strong work ethic and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
3) The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and our valued customers
4) Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
5) A proactive approach and 'can do' attitude to all matters
6) Fluency in writing and communicating in both ENGLISH and MANDARIN / CANTONESE is essential.
Payment of the clerkship placement will vary based on the experience of the candidates.
