General Manager
Channel Chinese is an Australia Chinese media company servicing both inbound and outbound Chinese companies to the local Australian Chinese community. As Australia’s first local Chinese News broadcaster we are proud of our standing in the Australian Chinese community and are looking to further develop our brand and market position.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors you will be responsible for overseeing the branding, development and implementation of the group’s business plan and strategy including the development of specific business lines and projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and carrying out company business development plan and service lines
- Developing, implementing and monitoring systems and processes relating to the operation of the company
- Building successful relationships with key stakeholders
- Representing the interest of the board and shareholders in achieving business targets
The candidate we are looking for:
This role will suit a person who has a strategic outlook, however is still capable of hands-on operation. The successful candidate will provide superior business development and execution, communication and project management expertise. They will consistently deliver positive outcomes for the branding, market intelligence and business growth of the various operations of the Channel Chinese group.
Required skills:
• Experience in Chinese media industry and field
• Must be fluent in Chinese and English (spoken and written)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups at various organisational levels
• Strong theoretical market knowledge with a practical experience in researching, planning and coordinating marketing strategies
• High level of analytical, organisational, problem solving and negotiation skill
• Team leadership and motivational abilities
• Experience with presentation and Chinese digital marketing technology including current working knowledge of print and digital media process
• Superior management relationship skills
• Strong financial and budgetary skills
