We're seeking an experienced, energetic IT Support Technician to join our IT team to provide IT support to our 200+ users.

About the role
Reporting to the IT Manager, you will become a key member of the IT support team providing level 1 & 2 helpdesk support as well as participating in the roll-out of IT projects with both internal and external stakeholders. We're looking for someone with strong trouble shooting skills and the capability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a busy and demanding environment.
Core responsibilities of the role include:
Providing onsite desktop support in an all Windows environment
User management in Active Directory, Office 365 and in-house ERP/CRM system
Proactive maintenance of server and computer backups
Implement, support & maintain of servers
Installation, configuration and maintenance of desktops, laptops, tablets & phones
Manage & support corporate MPLS WAN, VPN and local network devices
Maintain accurate inventory database, repair log and activities
Investigate, troubleshoot & resolve hardware and software problems
Participate in the design & roll-out of IT projects
Your essential skills:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong communication and customer service skills with an excellent phone manner and high attention to detail. The ideal applicant will have the following skills and experience:
Tertiary degree in Information Technology or related fields
Minimum 3 years PC support or industry experience
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft server 2012, including Active Directory, group policy, remote desktop, printer server, DNS, DHCP etc.
Proficient in managing switches, routers, firewalls as well as VPN.
Working knowledge of installing/configuring desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
Experience with Office 365, SharePoint and Azure
Experience with TIPT phone system and any call centre programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Although not essential, it would be advantageous if you meet any of the following criteria.
Microsoft certification and other industrial certifications (ITIL, Prince2) will be highly regarded
Candidates with hands-on experience with AWS
Experience with SQL database
Working knowledge of html, CSS and JavaScript with exposure to popular front-end frameworks
Based in South Granville, you will be working from 8 – 5 Monday to Fridays and be on call every second week to ensure our IT functions are always supported to our staff.
