Graphic designer with UIUX Experience

About the business and the role Founded in Sydney Australia in 2017, Breakable provides an end to end e-commerce and fast goods supply solutions to retailers and consumers Australia wide and globally. Breakable prides itself in delivering the highest standards in the procurement of Australia's leading Beauty, Healthcare, Skin Care, and Baby Products, ensuring that only the best products are delivered directly to our end-consumers. Breakable HQ is located in the inner north-west Gladesville, approximately 20 mins from Sydney CBD. Our HQ comprise of a retail shop front, office and operation HQ, as well as a warehouse over 1000m2. We are looking for someone who is well written in both English and Chinese and passionate about nutrition and healthy lifestyle.

Job tasks and responsibilities
Working on our newly created project with our development team and stakeholders, you will be responsible for the concept and ideation and creation of designs for websites and apps.
Experience Required
• 2 - 5 years’ experience in a UI/UX Design
• Strong experience in visual design tools including PhotoShop, Fireworks and Illustrator
• Strong Experience in both Web and App Design concept and requirements
• Creating forward-thinking concepts for future interfaces
• Iterating designs and layouts following discussions with clients and developers
• Pushing the boundaries of usable interfaces across a range of device types and form factors
• Storyboarding and storytelling

Skills and experience

• Any previous experience working on mobile / tablet web applications will be highly advantageous.
• Basic coding skills highly regarded including HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience in CMS (Magento),development experience is highly regarded
• Must be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, including PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Designing promotional graphics for both web based and print
• Must be literate in both Chinese and English
• Demonstrable graphic design ability with a strong portfolio of works to present
• A passion for design and fashion
• Passion for UI and UX design
• Knowledge and understanding of user centred design process fundamentals and methodologies
• Attention to detail
• Good time management skills
• Ability to work within creative and brand guidelines and to understand the nuances between different demographics
• Knowledge of social medias (Facebook, Wechat , Instagram etc.) would be advantageous
• Previous experience (examples) designing visual interfaces
• A basic understanding for web and mobile platform design guidelines
• A strong desire to solve usability related challenges and find the most innovative solution to a problem
• Solid design skills based on expert knowledge of fundamental design principles, colour theory and typography
• Relevant formal qualification/degree in Design or Computer Science
